Mike McGill Skull & Snake Skateboard Decks
In the summer of 1984, as Mike McGill was perfecting the 540 McTwist at a Swedish summer camp, V.C.J. was working on a new deck graphic for him. Given the popularity of the "Skull & Bones" theme, that direction was chosen for McGill's new deck. At Mike's request, the design incorporated a snake and lightning bolts, as both were abundant in his home state of Florida. The resulting "Skull & Snake" deck has become a true classic skateboard icon.
The McGill's Skull & Snake deck was originally released in 1984, with artwork by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson. It features the following specifications:
