Shop / powell peralta skate+board
In 1988, Powell-Peralta ran an "Artist Wanted" advertisement in TWS and Thrasher, offering a job in their art department in Santa Barbara to the contest "winner." The artist selected was Sean Cliver, primarily due to his illustration style's close resemblance to VCJ's. Cliver's first deck design, the Barbee Ragdoll, marked a departure from the traditional VCJ look, but when it came time to update the Caballero dragon, Sean emulated the master.
At some point later, the graphic Cab "Ban This" Dragon was given this moniker, as it was prominently featured in that video, particularly in a slow-motion sequence. The Caballero dragon deck was originally released in 1988, with artwork by Sean Cliver.
The deck specifications are as follows: - Deck Width: 9.265 inches - Deck Length: 32 inches - Wheelbase: 14.75 inches - Deck Nose: 6.5 inches - Deck Tail: 6.5 inches - Truck Hole Pattern: New School Short 4 Truck Hole Pattern - Shape: 192 - Concave: K15
This deck is sold as a deck-only item, with griptape not included.
