In 1988, Powell-Peralta placed an "Artist Wanted" advertisement in TWS and Thrasher, seeking a talented individual to join their art department in Santa Barbara. The winning artist chosen for the position was Sean Cliver, primarily due to the close resemblance of his illustration style to that of VCJ's. Cliver's first deck design, the Barbee Ragdoll, marked a departure from the traditional VCJ aesthetic, but when it came time to update the Caballero dragon, Sean expertly emulated the master's work.

At some point later, the graphic on the Caballero deck, which was prominently featured in a slow-motion sequence in a video, was dubbed the "Ban This" Dragon. The original release of this deck was in 1988, with the artwork being created by Sean Cliver.

The specifications of the Caballero "Ban This" Dragon deck are as follows: Deck Width = 9.265" Deck Length = 32" Wheelbase = 14.75" Deck Nose = 6.5" Deck Tail = 6.5" Shape 192 / Concave K21

This deck is offered as the Deck Only, with the griptape not included.

The FLIGHT Deck Construction of the Caballero "Ban This" Dragon features a THINNER, STRONGER, and LONGER LASTING design, all made in the USA. The materials used in its construction include U.S. hard rock maple, high-strength fiberglass, and AirLam fused with epoxy resin, ensuring a premium quality and durability.
